Winter Visitors

Arizona is known for its winter vistors. For one reason or another people come from all different states and territories and flock to Arizona. It could be due to the beautiful 80 degree days, the ever present sunshine or to make memories with family that you always wished lived a little closer. James' sister, brother-in-law, parents and grandparents visited us for all these reasons. We are so grateful for all the memories we were able to create with them. Hopefully the visits won't be few and far between!

The New Year

I wanted to start this new years post with something worth noting. I think that Jaxon's first documented smile is worthy. Now, James claims that I am just being a adoring mother and that this really doesn't count as a smile (because you can't see gums, he's always such a dentist). Anyways, if you agree with him just don't tell me because I am perfectly satisfied in believing that this is a smile!

Baby's Big Day

Well this was Jaxon's big day and he did fabulous. James blessed him and he was so peaceful. He was looking at all of the faces of the men in the circle all alert and curious. Afterwards we all went to my parents house and had a huge breakfast. Then we had a huge BBQ at our house for dinner. I swear if all of the big milestones in his life include this much good food then I will never loose the baby weight!!! But all in all it was a very good day.

Puppies Everywhere

Our saturday consisted of a picnic in the park and the puppies first outing! They loved the green grass and wide openess. It was play heaven.

Puppies

Well I figured I would venture out and blog about something other than my perfect child. As I type I realize that besides him I don't really have a life!! Ha Ha, ok maybe that is not true. This whole weekend I took care of puppies, puppies and more puppies. My parent went out of town and left me to take care of their 10 puppies. Let me tell you they were a hand full. But of course they are adorable so that makes it well worth it.

Two weeks

So, what color do his eyes look? Is it possible to even tell this early?

His hat says "Rookie Dad", he got it for his birthday from Kelly and Hope, it's now his favorite outfit!

Well, we had our two week check up last week and you will never believe what the little chunker weighed in at. Not to give him a complex or anything but he was born at 6lbs 13oz, we left the hospital at 6lbs 5oz, and at his two week apt he was 8lbs 2oz. He also grew from 19 inches to 21 inches in two weeks! James is proud, he always jokes about putting weight gainer in a bottle, but looks like at this rate it's not necessary.

Big Brother, Dozer

This is Dozer our dog, he is a brand new father too. He just fathered 10 puppies that are almost as cute as Jaxon. I thought he would feel left out if I didn't include him on my family blog.

Grandma and Jaxon

Here is Grandma Larsen with her favorite newest grandson!!! I have to get that out while I still can because he won't be the newest edition for long.
